Bran results from the separation of the husk of the cereals from the flour after milling and is divided into two main categories: fine and coarse. It is a phosphorus rich, palatable, easily digestible feed and an important part of rations because it is a good source of vitamin E and rich in fibre.

It is a food suitable for dairy and dry season animal diets.

  • Pure protein about 24%
  • Fat about 4%
  • Fibrous substances, owing to which they exhibit excellent dietary activity, 10 12%
