Polmazym Premium is a microbiological and enzymatic additive supporting the ensilage of protein feeds, such as alfalfa and grass. An important role in Polmazym is played by enzymes that increase the sugar pools available for lactic acid bacteria in moist and non-fermenting plant raw material.

The activity of Polmazym in the ensiled material is based on the breakdown by enzymes of carbohydrates in the cell wall of the ensiled plant into simple sugars. Lactic acid bacteria participating in the fermentation process, both those derived from the ensiled plant and those introduced together with Polmazym, obtain an additional pool of water-soluble sugars needed for development. The silage is better and has a higher nutritional value.
